Introducing the inaugural Chamber Games winners!

What happens when you bring local businesses and community teams together for an afternoon of friendly competition? A lot of enthusiasm, some questionable tactics and plenty of excellent sportsmanship!

The inaugural Chamber Games brought teams together for a series of fun, light-hearted challenges, with plenty of cheering, competition and laughs along the way. While everyone came ready to win, the afternoon was ultimately about connection, teamwork and having a bit of fun together.

And, of course, we had some winners!

Gold Medal & inaugural Chamber Games Champions – Blocklaying Airlie Beach. The first team to claim the Chamber Games Perpetual Trophy and set the benchmark for future champions.

Silver Medal – Club Whitsunday, A strong performance on home turf!

Bronze Medal – Whitsunday Regional Council, taking out third place after a competitive afternoon.

Best Dressed Team – Accountancy Plus Whitsunday, taking team spirit to the next level with the best dressed effort of the afternoon.

Encouragement Award (The Wooden Spoon) – TAFE Queensland

A Trophy Worth Competing For

A special thank you to Airlie Beach Men’s Shed and Whitsunday Laser Creations for bringing the Chamber Games Perpetual Trophy to life.

The trophy will now be passed from champion to champion each year, with Blocklaying Airlie Beach making history as the first team to have their name engraved.

A huge congratulations to all of our teams for getting involved and embracing the spirit of the inaugural Games. From the sporting challenges to the costumes, cheers and competitive banter, it was fantastic to see local businesses and community organisations getting behind something a little different.

We also extend a big thank you to Club Whitsunday for hosting the Games, StarFM for bringing the atmosphere with their outdoor broadcast and prizes, AWB First Aid First for providing on-field support, and the local sporting community for helping bring the challenges to life.

The trophy now has its first name engraved – and Blocklaying Airlie Beach has 12 months to defend those bragging rights!
