The Chamber is pleased to partner with Whitsunday Regional Council on Christmas Lights Our Whitsunday Way, celebrating the local businesses bringing extra sparkle to our town centres this festive season.
We’re inviting businesses across the region to dress up their shopfronts with Christmas lights and festive displays, helping create a welcoming atmosphere and spreading some Christmas cheer.
Enter the Shopfront Competition
Put your festive display in the spotlight for the chance to win:
- Winner: $1,500 print media voucher from Mackay and Whitsunday Life.
- Highly Commended: $1,000 radio voucher from Star Mackay and the Whitsundays.
To enter, complete the online nomination form by midnight Sunday 13 December. The winner will be announced Tuesday 15 December.

Be Part of the Christmas Lights Trail
Businesses with festive shopfront displays are also encouraged to pin their location on the Christmas Lights Trail Map, helping locals and visitors plan an evening stroll or drive to enjoy the decorations.
