The Whitsundays Chamber is delighted to welcome Whitsunday Regional Council as a major partner in the 2027 Whitsundays Harvest Festival, through its Major Events and Conference Sponsorship Program.
This support will help create a festival that connects the Whitsundays’ agricultural past with today’s thriving industries and tomorrow’s opportunities, celebrating our producers, local businesses and the community spirit that drives the region forward.
Two signature events will bring the program to life next year:
- May, Proserpine — A street parade, machinery muster, markets, late-night trading, creative activations, and live entertainment.
- October, Bowen — Farm to Feast, a long-table dining experience celebrating the incredible local produce grown in our region.
Chamber Executive Officer Dr Julia Evans said the partnership was an exciting step towards bringing the festival to life.
“The Whitsundays Harvest Festival will celebrate our region’s proud agricultural heritage while creating new opportunities for local businesses and giving people more reasons to visit and spend time in Proserpine and Bowen,” said Julia.
It will bring together the festival traditions people remember with fresh experiences that reflect our region’s evolving industries and future potential.
We sincerely thank the Chamber’s Proserpine Sub-Committee for helping shape this initiative. Established to develop practical projects under the Chamber’s Proserpine Business Activation Strategy, the Sub-Committee brings local knowledge and ideas that help turn the strategy into action.”
Preparations are now underway with more details to come soon.
