The Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry is celebrating 2026 Queensland Small Business Month with the launch of a special Airlie Hill Billboard Giveaway designed to support local micro and small businesses.

The initiative will give one eligible Chamber member the opportunity to capture the attention of thousands of daily commuters and visitors through a two-week advertising campaign on the highly visible Airlie Hill Billboard (the main landscape sign, facing Cannonvale).
Valued at more than $700, the prize includes print production, installation, rental, and removal of billboard artwork, making it an accessible marketing opportunity for micro and small businesses looking to raise their profile across the region.
Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Allan Milostic said the initiative was designed to celebrate the important role small businesses play in the region’s economy and community:
Small businesses are the backbone of the Whitsundays, and Queensland Small Business Month is a fantastic opportunity to recognise the passion, resilience, and contribution of our local operators.
This giveaway is about giving one small business the chance to put themselves in front of thousands of people every day and helping them grow their visibility in a practical and meaningful way.
To be eligible, businesses must:
- be current financial members of the Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
- employ fewer than 20 staff, and
- be based in the Whitsundays region.
Entries close at 11:59pm on Monday 18 May, with the winner to be announced at the Chamber Business Breakfast Briefing on 21 May.
The Chamber is encouraging eligible members to take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their business to locals and visitors travelling through Airlie Beach each day.
See the entry form for full terms and conditions.
