Chamber Billboard Giveaway for 2026 Queensland Small Business Month
The Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry is celebrating Queensland Small Business Month with the launch of a special Airlie Hill Billboard Giveaway designed to support local micro and small businesses.
One eligible Chamber member will win a two-week advertising campaign on the highly visible Airlie Hill Billboard (the main landscape sign, facing Cannonvale), including print production, installation, rental and removal, valued at more than $700.
This exclusive Chamber member initiative aims to raise the profile of local businesses and provide accessible marketing opportunities for small operators across the region.
To enter, businesses must:
- Be current financial members of the Chamber,
- Employ fewer than 20 staff, and
- Be based in the Whitsundays region.
Entries close at 11:59pm on Monday 18 May, with the winner to be announced at the Chamber Business Breakfast Briefing on 21 May.
The Chamber encourages eligible members to take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their business to thousands of locals and visitors travelling through Airlie Beach each day.
Eligibility
To be eligible to enter, applicants must:
- Be a current financial member of the Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the time of entry and prize draw.
- Operate a small business with fewer than 20 employees.
- Be based in the Whitsundays region.
- Complete and submit the official competition entry form by 11:59pm Monday 18 May.
The following are not eligible to enter:
- Current Chamber Board members.
- Contractors directly involved in Chamber operations.
- Businesses with overdue Chamber membership fees at the time of draw.
Only one entry per eligible business will be accepted.
Prize
One eligible entrant will win:
- two (2) weeks advertising on the Airlie Hill Billboard (the main landscape sign, facing Cannonvale),
- assistance with artwork design (if required),
- print production, and
- installation and removal of billboard artwork.
The total prize is valued at over $700.
The billboard booking period will be determined by the Chamber and is subject to availability. The winner may nominate preferred artwork and campaign timing, however final placement dates remain at the discretion of the Chamber.
The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
Terms & Conditions
- Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- The Promoter is the Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- The competition opens on Monday 11 May and closes at 11:59pm Monday 18 May. Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.
- Entry is free and open to eligible Chamber members only.
- One entry per eligible business applies. Multiple entries from the same business will be deemed invalid.
- The winner will be selected by the Chamber Board from all eligible entries received.
- The winner will be announced at the Chamber Business Breakfast Briefing on Thursday 21 May 2026 and contacted directly using the details provided in their entry.
- If the winner cannot be contacted within five (5) business days, or does not accept the prize within that timeframe, the Chamber reserves the right to redraw the prize.
- The Chamber reserves the right to verify eligibility and disqualify any entrant who provides false, incomplete, or misleading information.
- The Chamber reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition if required due to unforeseen circumstances or events beyond its reasonable control.
- The Chamber Board’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The prize cannot be redeemed for cash.
- By entering, entrants agree that the Chamber may use their business name, logo, and submitted promotional information for the purpose of administering and promoting the competition and announcing the winner.
- Personal information collected through the competition will be used solely for the purpose of administering the promotion and in accordance with the Chamber’s Privacy Policy.
- The competition will be governed by the laws of Queensland.
Winner Conditions
The winner must:
- Work within the Chamber’s production timelines for artwork approval, print, and installation.
- Ensure that content is accurate, lawful, not political in nature, likely to cause offence, and be suitable for a viewing by a family audience (G Rated). Any material deemed inappropriate will not be approved or will be removed at applicant’s expense.
- Accept that final artwork, placement timing, and production scheduling are subject to Chamber approval and billboard availability.
Failure to provide required materials within requested timeframes may result in forfeiture of the prize.
