Your invitation to boost your business with free State Government services

August 28, 2023 by Chamber Liaison

You’re invited to join us in September for our Chamber on Tap event!

At this new look Chamber event, we are delighted to showcase a number of free business support services offered to the region by the Queensland Government Department of Youth Justice, Employment, Small Business and Training.

Our guest speakers will be:

Jo McKee, on the Mentoring for Growth program that connects you with experienced mentors to help you adapt to changing conditions, new opportunities, and overcoming challenges. Mentors have a broad range of experience, knowledge and expertise to offer. Some common discussion topics include growth strategies, marketing and sales, business development, cash flow and finance, human resources, and export and investment.

Kristy Wilson, from Business Wellness Coaching North Queensland offering one-on-one, customised support to help address stress impacts. This support includes helping you to identify the source of your challenges and strategies to enable you to move forward with your decision-making.

Adam Stephen, an Industry Workforce Advisor focused on providing solutions to your employment challenges, and connecting you with relevant Queensland programs and funding, industry-based initiatives and grant funding, and Australian Government wage subsidies and employer incentives.

Kim Carlyon, outlining Back to Work program that provides funding up to $20,000 to eligible employers who hire eligible unemployed Queenslanders from the identified target groups and those aged between 15-24 years.

Julia Wheway, the TAFE Queensland Whitsunday Campus Manager on the fee free courses and programs available to business owners and managers.

Chamber President, Allan Milostic, will also provide an update on the Chamber’s strategy and latest developments.

There will also be time for networking and catching up with the Chamber team.
