Meet the Candidates

The Chamber invites you to meet the Mayor and Division 2 Councillor candidates for the 2024 Whitsunday Regional Council election on 6:30pm-8:00pm Tuesday 5 March at The Ballroom, Coral Sea Marina Resort, Airlie Beach.

This event is exclusively for the Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Bowen Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Whitsundays and Bowen Collinsville Enterprise and will explore specific issues relating to business, industry, and economic development.

Candidates attending will be:

  • Phil BATTY, Mayor candidate
  • Clay BAUMAN, Division 2 Councillor candidate
  • Ry COLLINS, Mayor candidate
  • Richard EVANS, Mayor candidate
  • Peter HOOD, Mayor candidate
  • Tony PRICE, Division 2 Councillor candidate

Judy Porter from Shiift will facilitate proceedings.

Free tickets are strictly limited to two people per member. Members have been emailed a unique event code to use exclusively for this event (check your inbox or contact the Chamber). Places are limited to a maximum of 50 attendees.

Registration includes light refreshments. 

Also when registering, you will be able to pose a question that might be asked on the night.

Not a member? Join today! Alternatively, you can attend one of the free public events hosted by other organisations to meet the candidates or you can contact candidates direct.
