The 2025 Whitsunday Jobs Fair will connect job seekers with local jobs.
The Jobs Fair will be held 10am-1pm Tuesday 21 October 2025 at the Proserpine Entertainment Centre, bringing together school leavers and job seekers of all ages a valuable opportunity to explore a wide range of career possibilities and meet directly with employers and service providers ready to hire.
Event highlights:
- Meet Whitsunday employers: A number of employers and service providers from diverse industries will be present, offering positions ranging from entry-level to specialist roles.
- On-site interviews: Allocated space on the day for on-the-spot interviews.
- Quiet Session: A low-sensory experience for job seekers.
- Networking opportunities: The event also provides businesses the chance to engage with local business leaders, human resource professionals, and recruiters.
There will also be a live outdoor broadcast by StarFM on the day!

The team from IDEAL Placements will be your direct contact in the lead up to the Jobs Fair, and again on the day.
Your space at the Fair includes a dedicated space (see the registration form for options). You are welcome to bring pull up banners, position descriptions, and job adverts for attendees.

The Whitsundays Chamber will provide some digital assets you can use to promote your involvement in the Jobs Fair.
On the day, the program will be:
- 8:30am-9:00am: Set up.
- 9:00am-9:15am: Welcome and safety announcements for employers.
- 9:15am-9:45am: Quiet session, a low-sensory experience for job seekers.
- 10:00am-1:00pm: Job Fair open to the public.

Please note, as this is a public event, all employers will need to upload a copy of current Certificate of Insurance.
Have a job vacancy but can’t make it?
If you are unable to make the Fair but have vacancies available, we can promote your jobs on the day.
Simply upload a A4 PDF flyer (using the registration form below) that includes the following:
- Your business name and logo
- Roles available, including title and short description
- How to apply and/or contact details
- QR code for more information (optional)

To promote the Fair, there will be radio and print advertising including a special feature in the Mackay and Whitsunday Life newspaper Friday 10 October edition.
With a print distribution of 15,000 papers weekly throughout the region, your business can opt in to advertise in this feature.
