Infront is a local security company with the resources and support of a much larger Queensland operation.
With its North Queensland team managed locally, the business combines strong relationships, responsive decision-making, and hands-on oversight across the Whitsundays. Infront is focused on breaking down the regional barriers that can sometimes limit expectations of security providers, showing that regional clients can expect the same professionalism, systems, and accountability as anywhere else.

Meeting the changing needs of the industry
Security is about much more than having an officer onsite. Infront is seeing growing demand for stronger compliance, better reporting, technology-driven accountability, and contractors who actively identify and manage risk.
The expectations of security officers are also changing, with communication, judgement, customer service, and situational awareness becoming just as important as traditional security skills.
In regional areas, workforce availability and retention remain significant challenges, making recruitment, training, and the development of local career pathways increasingly important.
Investing in people
Over the past two years, Infront has focused on becoming the employer of choice within the local security industry. Like many regional businesses, workforce availability has been a significant challenge, particularly when reliable, licensed security professionals are needed across different environments and often at short notice. By improving retention, cross-training its team and creating greater depth and development opportunities, Infront has strengthened its ability to manage leave, illness, new contracts and unexpected client requirements while continuing to deliver a consistent and reliable service.
Lessons from business
For other business owners, Infront shares three key lessons.
First, look after your people. They represent your business when you are not there, so invest in them and recognise those who consistently step up.
Second, communicate early and honestly with both employees and clients. Problems generally become much harder to solve when they are ignored, hidden, or left too long.
Finally, do not overpromise. It can be tempting to say yes to every opportunity, but long-term relationships are built by consistently delivering what you have committed to. Reputation is earned through reliability over time.
The value of connection
For Infront, the greatest value of Chamber membership has been the opportunity to build genuine relationships across the Whitsunday business community. Chamber events connect the team with businesses and industries they may not otherwise interact with, while providing a better understanding of what is happening across the region. These conversations create opportunities to share ideas, learn from other business owners and develop partnerships.
In a regional community like the Whitsundays, relationships matter. The Chamber provides an important platform for local businesses to connect, support each other and contribute to the region’s continued growth.
