The Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a proud member of the Whitsunday Coast Workforce Accommodation Working Group, led by Greater Whitsunday Communities and Regional Development Australia Greater Whitsundays.
Since 2025, the Chamber has commenced work alongside partners to identify and progress workforce accommodation solutions from Cannonvale through to Shute Harbour.
The Working Group’s purpose is to advocate and attract investment in accommodation options that enable local employers to better attract and retain staff, strengthening business capacity and supporting sustainable growth in the region.
The Chamber is now calling on real estate agents and accommodation providers to share their insights on current workforce accommodation demand, availability, and challenges.
This feedback will be critical in shaping future strategies and ensuring solutions meet the needs of local businesses and workers.
