The Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Proserpine Sub-Committee has launched a business feedback survey to better understand the impact of recent visitor service closures and explore new tourism opportunities for the region.
The survey responds to the closure of two key services: the Proserpine RV Park and the Proserpine Visitor Information Centre at Whitsunday Gold.
The RV Park was closed due to unviable upgrade costs on leased land, while the Information Centre ceased operations in 2025. These closures have potentially reduced tourism visibility and visitor flow through Proserpine.
Our survey aims to gather direct input from local businesses about these impacts and opportunities for future growth.
The survey, which takes less than 15 minutes to complete, is designed specifically for Proserpine businesses.
Feedback will be used to advocate for informed and practical solutions that drive visitation and economic resilience.
All responses will remain confidential and only aggregated data will be published in the final report.
Survey closes Friday 29 August.
