Could your venue help prepare athletes for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games?
The Queensland Government is calling for suitable sporting and training venues across the state to be considered for a new online directory promoting Queensland as a destination for Australian and international teams preparing for Brisbane 2032.
The Whitsundays has an opportunity to showcase its facilities, from sporting grounds and courts to gyms and other venues that could support elite athlete training.
We’re encouraging sporting clubs, venue operators, facility managers, schools, and other organisations responsible for local venues to consider whether their facilities could be suitable for inclusion.
Who should register?
Venue operators are responsible for registering their own facilities using the Queensland Government’s online form. If your venue is council-operated, Council will complete the registration. If you manage a privately operated or club-owned venue, you can register it directly.
Venues must meet the minimum inclusion requirements and provide accurate, up-to-date information.
If you know of a suitable venue in the Whitsundays, please share this opportunity with the relevant operator and help put our region on the map as a potential training destination ahead of 2032.
Registrations are encouraged as soon as possible so venues can be considered for the initial directory.
