Join us at the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) NQ Connect Whitsundays forum on 6 August 2025 to learn more about employment and training priorities for the Whitsundays region.
This event will focus on apprenticeships and traineeships, with presentations from TAFE Queensland, the Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Whitsunday Regional Council.
A panel discussion, hosted by the Chamber, featuring apprentices, trainees, and their employers, will provide practical insights into the value of vocational education and training in the workplace.
The forum will also include a Skilling Queenslanders for Work information session.
Speakers include:
- Natalie Link – Business Support Officer – TAFE Queensland
- Michelle Arandale – Organisational Development and Learning Coordinator – Whitsunday Regional Council
- Dr Julia Evans – Chamber Liaison – Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry – hosting panel discussion with apprentices and trainees from Wilmar, Filby’s Motors, Scallywag Fabrications, Whitsunday Transit, Red Emperor Constructions and ARS Whitsunday.
