DESCRIPTION:\nWhat does the Whitsundays of the future looks like\, and why?
 What are the current major drivers of change and points of resistance?What
  do we need to do now to future proof tomorrow?\n\n\n\nIn this special Whi
 tsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry event\, we will explore future e
 conomic and business possibilities for our region. \n\n\n\nGuest speakers 
 include:\n\n\n\n\nMayor Ry Collins\, presenting his economic development a
 genda and business priorities.\n\n\n\nChamber President Allan Milostic\, p
 resenting key insights and recommendations from the Chamber's Vision for t
 he Whitsundays research and advocacy project.\n\n\n\n\nThis event will als
 o include a presentation of the graduates from 2023 Certificate IV in Entr
 epreneurship program – an initiative sponsored by TAFE Queensland\, the 
 Council\, and Chamber.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Vision for the Whitsundays
  project\n\n\n\nLast year\, the Chamber commenced work to articulate an ec
 onomic vision for the Whitsundays that is informed by the region’s trade
 s\, small business\, commerce\, and industry.\n\n\n\nWe invited the busine
 ss community\, stakeholders and individuals to inform the project’s key 
 findings and recommendations and captured just over 130 perspectives throu
 gh formal submissions\, online survey\, and focus groups\, as well as revi
 ewing other sources of data and reports.\n\n\n\nA preview of key insights 
 and recommendations for our economic future will be presented at this even
 t\, 15 August 2024.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is open to all Chamber membe
 rs and their guests\, and the broader Whitsundays business community.\n\n\
