 ys Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s next event – 7:30am Thursday 5 J
 une at Wilmar Sugar and Renewables\, Proserpine Mill – will explore what
  today’s apprentices\, trainees\, and early career professionals value m
 ost in a workplace\; from culture and leadership to flexibility\, purpose\
 , and career progression.\n\n\n\nAttendees will hear directly from local a
 pprentices and trainees from Wilmar\, Filby’s Motors\, and Proserpine St
 ate High School – as well as key insights from the Regional Jobs Committ
 ee – who will share real-world insights and lived experiences\, gain pra
 ctical tips for fostering supportive and engaging work environments\, and 
 consider how to future-proof their workforce strategies in a competitive l
 abour market.\n\n\n\nThis event is all about hearing from the next generat
 ion — young workers\, apprentices\, trainees\, and early career professi
 onals — who will talk honestly about what matters most to them.\n\n\n\nL
 ocal speakers will share with attendees:\n\n\n\n\nWhat makes a job worth s
 howing up for?\n\n\n\nWhat do young people want from their bosses and work
 places?\n\n\n\nHow important are things like flexibility\, respect\, suppo
 rt\, and career growth?\n\n\n\nWhat’s missing — and what needs to chan
 ge?\n\n\n\nWhat does it mean to you to work for a local business?\n\n\n\n\
